Offer support to students on an as needed basis
Students are referred by teachers or parents based on academic or behavioral concerns
Meet with students weekly to assist with emotional, social or behavioral growth
Assist students to improve self-esteem, social skills, and self-control
Help students develop problem solving and coping skills
Advocate for student's needs
Act as a link between home and school
Meet with parents upon request
Suggest positive parenting strategies regarding concerns with their child
Create and implement accommodation and behavior plans
Identify students in a crisis situation and respond accordingly
Facilitate monthly classroom activities focusing on self-esteem, problem solving, conflict resolution, kindness, and friendship
