Richard Schneider is a native of South Florida where he attended South Broward High School. He received his bachelor’s and master’s in music education and organ performance from The University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Florida in 1982 and 1984. As a graduate, he went to The University of Michigan and earned his Doctorate in Musial Arts in 1995. His teachers have included Marilyn Mason, Arden Whitacre, and Flor Peeters. Teaching music for the last 30 years at St. Mary in Wayne, Dr. Schneider has had his children's choirs perform in Disney World, Carnegie Hall, and various National Pastoral Conventions. He is presently the music director at St. Mary in Wayne where he plays Masses and directs the adult choir and hand bells.
